CHEAD (Council for Higher Education in Art & Design) 2024 | Unlocked: Creativity and Culture for Positive Change was hosted at V&A Dundee, Discovery Point and the Matthew Building, Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art & Design (DJCAD), Dundee, Scotland from 19 – 21 March 2024
Welcoming 92 delegates from 3 countries (UK, USA and Netherlands) to attend the conference, contributing over *£193,200 in Direct Economic Benefit (DEB) and £75,734 in Gross Value Added (GVA).
*This figure has been calculated using the 2023 Direct Expenditure Benefit (DEB) rates, recognised by the Scottish Government, and used by all the cities, destinations, and industries across Scotland.
The local organising committee is led by was led by Professor Anita Taylor, Dean of Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art & Design, University of Dundee and team, with Professor David McGravie, Chair of CHEAD and supported by Anna Maloney, Director of Membership and Operations, and her team from the Council for Higher Education in Art & Design (CHEAD) and Dundee City Region Convention Bureau (DCRCB).
